Jungle Rain, Land Of The Hovering Sun

This is an early concept piece for my upcoming novel, Land of the Hovering Sun. Although, the scenario doesn’t completely match the associated scenario in the book.

Gerrit and Alejo have traveled for miles through the dense jungle until the vegetation finally thinned out. They are completely exhausted, and their bodies urge them to simply give up and collapse onto the jungle floor. However, a glimpse of the city renews their energy. But nature has a mind to be cruel and she begins to brew a storm. Rain starts to pour and thunder roars softly in the sky. There is no time to waste, their friends life hangs in the balance. Salvation feels so close.
